EMI Music, Eleven Seven Music Group ink sales & distribution deal

MUMBAI: US rock operation, The Eleven Seven Music Group, whose roster includes Buckcherry and Mötley Crüe, and EMI Music have entered into an agreement in which EMI will provide The Eleven Seven Music Group and its labels with digital and physical distribution, sales and marketing services in the United Kingdom and Europe.

In addition, EMI will provide licensing and synchronization services on a non-exclusive basis to The Eleven Seven Music Group’s acclaimed roster of artists.

Eleven Seven Music, founded in 2006 by music industry veteran Allen Kovac, was named the rock label of the year in 2008 by FMQB and was named Mediabase’s #1 Independent Rock label. The label’s roster includes Mötley Crüe, Buckcherry, Sixx:A.M., Trapt, Drowning Pool, The Last Vegas, Charm City Devils, and more. The label is known for successfully creating an integrated marketing platform that implements strategies targeted directly to the core fans. Eleven Seven Music also dominated the iTunes 2008 Critics and Sales Charts, holding 40% of the top ten slots on the best rock songs list in 2008.
