Emmy Academy appoints new officers

MUMBAI: Shelly Palmer, host of Media 3.0 with Shelly Palmer, has been elected president of The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, New York.

The Academy is the organisation that bestows the Emmy Awards, and voted Palmer in by an unanimous vote of its Board of Governors. Palmer succeeds past President Jane Hanson.


The new executive committee includes Palmer, Jane Hanson, host of Jane’s New York as its first Vice President,  Karen Scott, News Director, CW11 as second vice president and Denise Rover as secretary.


The New York Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences is dedicated to the advancement of the arts and sciences of television and media, and the promotion of creative leadership for artistic, educational and technical achievements within the television industry. It recognizes excellence in television with the coveted Emmy Award.
