Johnson promoted to VP television & film library development for Sony Pictures Television

Mumbai: Scott Johnson has been promoted to vice president, television and film library development at Sony Pictures Television (SPT), it was announced by John Weiser president, distribution, to whom Johnson will report.

Johnson manages the television series library. In this role, he tracks the availability and licensing of all library television series for all media. Additionally, he directs the creative packaging of all film and television properties for basic cable, network, pay cable and syndication. With this promotion, his duties have expanded to include both digital and pay television properties.

Previously, Johnson served as executive director, television and film library development for SPT. He first joined the company as an intern in 1999 for library development and was later hired as coordinator, television and film library development in the summer of 2000.
