MUMBAI: Seville Entertainment, a subsidiary of Entertainment One and Maximum Films have inked a multi-picture agreement with Magnolia Pictures and HDNet Films, which provides for their joint acquisition of Canadian rights to a slate of feature films.
Amongst the films are: Flawless starring multiple Academy Award winner and nominee Michael Caine and Golden Globe nominee Demi Moore; filmmaker Brian De Palma’s film Redacted; and Emmy Award winning producer Graydon Carter’s documentary, Surfwise. The two Canadian theatrical distributors will co-distribute the films throughout
Maximum Films chairman Robert Lantos said, “Films of quality and originality are the ones that interest and inspire me. So I look forward to working with Magnolia and HDNet Films whose vision is so clearly consistent with my own.”
Seville Entertainment co-president David Reckziegel added, “This arrangement makes good business sense. I am thrilled that we are acquiring these films from Magnolia/HDNet as it extends a great partnership with Magnolia with whom we had a growing relationship with.”

The package was negotiated by Maximum General Counsel Mark Musselman and Theroux along with Laird Adamson and Jeff Cuban for HDNet/Magnolia.
