MGM names Slobig as SVP theatrical marketing

MUMBAI: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) Pictures has appointed Justin Slobig as senior vice president theatrical marketing.

Slobig’s hiring continues the expansion of the studio’s marketing department under the direction of MGM executive vice president, theatrical marketing Michael Vollman. "Justin is true talent and a class act, his instincts and strong work ethic make him an ideal addition to our group," Vollman said.

Slobig’s appointment marks a homecoming of sorts, he previously served MGM Theatrical Marketing from 2002 until 2005. During that time he rose to director level and his responsibilities included work on the Bond series ,Die Another Day and the Barbershop Franchise. He most recently served as a producer at Toy Box Entertainment where his projects included the hit Alvin and The Chipmunks and Final Destination 3. In his new capacity at MGM he will report to Vollman.
