Nominations ballots for Oscars 2008 due on 12 January

MUMBAI: The 5,810 voting members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will be returning their completed Oscar nomination ballots to PricewaterhouseCoopers on 12 January.

Ballots received after that deadline will not be counted. PricewaterhouseCoopers will tabulate the ballots using the preferential voting system.

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2008 will be presented on 22 February, 2009, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center, and televised live by the ABC Television Network. The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 200 countries worldwide.

The 81st Academy Awards nominations will be announced on 22 January, 2009.
