Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Studios launches Oprah Mobile

MUMBAI: Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Studios has launched Oprah Mobile from Hands-On Mobile, Inc.

 

Oprah Mobile offers a single entry point, allowing users to interact with Oprah.com through one simple application. Oprah Mobile is available for download and purchase now for iPhone, BlackBerry, Palm Pre and Google Android.

 

“With a presence that spans television, print, film and radio, we are delighted that we can now offer a mobile digital experience that will allow millions of Oprah fans to engage and connect in a new way,” said Harpo Studios president Erik Logan.

 

“Being given the opportunity to take part of the Oprah universe to mobile is a great honor. We’ve worked closely with the Harpo team to create an app that will serve as a one-stop-shop for Oprah’s digital audience to access and share great online content,” said Hands-On Mobile vice president and general manager of mobile applications Scott Scherer.

 

Key features of Oprah Mobile include video clips and previews from The Oprah Winfrey Show. Fans also can instantly find out what time and channel the show is playing in their current location, anywhere within the United States, participate in exclusive weekly polls, listen to audio clips, read articles and view photo galleries and highlights from Oprah.com, O, The Oprah Magazine and Oprah Radio, and keep up with Oprah’s tweets. Plus, for the first time, fans of The Oprah Winfrey Show now can be alerted, to log on to Oprah.com when show tickets become available for the 25th and final season.
