Sequoia inks deal With Warner Bros.

MUMBAI: Sequoia Media Group, developer of the aVinci Experience product line, announced an agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to feature The Polar Express licensed media in the aVinci photo movie templates. The agreement helps position Sequoia Media Group as the first to offer technology that features popular media content in personal photos and videos, and allows fans to create a unique product of their own.

Sequoia’s patent-pending technology instantly transforms personal digital photos into professional, themed DVD movie productions, as well as posters and photo books. Sequoia’s first licensed media product offering, The Polar Express from Warner Bros. Pictures and Shangri-La Entertainment, was introduced during the 2007 Holiday Season in select markets and showcased user photos in actual full motion scenes from the movie. The Polar Express is based on the beloved Caldecott Medal children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg about a doubting young boy who takes an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole on Christmas Eve.

“My kids were amazed and captivated when they saw their photos along side The Polar Express characters,” said Sequoia customer Kim Chenoweth. “They thought they were real movie stars. What a priceless way to preserve our holiday memories.”

Sequoia is developing an extensive line up of themed templates featuring licensed media from popular movies, TV shows and music artists with scheduled release dates throughout 2008. Yesterday, Sequoia unveiled myMovieProducer, featuring The Polar Express at the 2008 Photo Marketing Association (PMA) International Convention and Trade Show, and soon to be available through photo retailers. myMovieProducer is the photo  industry’s first “on-the-shelf” product of its kind that offers an easy to use, automated process to transform personal digital photos into professional quality, themed DVD movie productions.
