Sony Pictures Ent appoints Mannix as SVP

MUMBAI: David K. Mannix has been appointed senior vice president of worldwide facilities and administrative services at Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE). This was announced by Jeff Hargleroad, executive vice president for Corporate Operations.


In his new position, Mannix will support the operation of SPE’s facilities, which span 36 countries around the world. One of his primary objectives is to build a global, world-class facilities organization that focuses on improved efficiencies and service levels through a centralized global management structure.  Among his responsibilities will be oversight of space planning; architectural services, lease management; workplace services; building engineering, maintenance and design. Mannix will report to Hargleroad.


Mannix comes to SPE from Activision, where he served as head of real estate operations and facilities, overseeing 27 facilities in 17 countries. He also served as head of facilities, operations and administration at DreamWorks SKG, and held several posts at Paramount Pictures, including executive vice president and general manager for Paramount’s Great America Theme Park, and senior vice president for Studio Operations.


Said Hargleroad, “David has the ideal range and depth of experience in the entertainment industry and in facilities management. He will be a key player as we build a global, strategic facilities environment that matches Sony Pictures Entertainments’ growth both domestically and internationally.”
