Sony Pictures TV promotes Cunningham

MUMBAI: Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI) has promoted Donna Grandy Cunningham to executive vice president, operations, international production. The announcement was made by SPTI senior executive vice president, international production Steve Kent, to whom Cunningham reports.

“Donna has proven herself to be an invaluable member of the international production group and has played a key role in our success,” said Kent. “Donna’s promotion recognizes her keen business acumen and her ability to work across diverse business cultures and close complex international transactions. She has been a key member of our team and we’re thrilled she’s agreed to expand her responsibilities.”


Based at SPTI’s world headquarters in Culver City, California, she adds oversight of operations, finance and strategic planning, and continues to oversee business affairs for SPTI’s international production group. The group has produced over 9,000 hours of high profile, local language television programming for various television networks outside the United States.


Cunningham joined SPTI in 2004 as senior vice president, business affairs, international production. Previously, she served as general counsel and chief privacy officer for Radical Communication, Inc. a software licensing company in Marina Del Rey, California; as general counsel and executive vice president, business and legal affairs for Fox Family Worldwide in Los Angeles; as vice president, business and legal affairs, at Hanna-Barbera, Inc.; and as vice president, business and legal affairs at DIC Entertainment, Inc.
