Mumbai: Star announced the appointment of Jonathan Ellis as its senior vice president, advertising sales. Ellis, who officially joined this week, is based in Hong Kong and reports to Star COO Laureen Ong.
Ellis will oversee Star’s advertising sales activities across the company’s regional markets including Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines. He will also be responsible for developing integrated marketing opportunities and value added solutions for advertisers and marketers to reach their consumers in an effective and targeted manner.
"Jonathan joins us at a pivotal time," said Ong. "With someone of Jonathan’s experience and track record coming on board, we have an enormous opportunity to further grow our advertising revenues to appropriately reflect our strong viewership across the region."
