THQ to launch interactive video game on Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender

MUMBAI: THQ Inc plans to bring M Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender video game exclusively to the Wii system and Nintendo DS/Nintendo DSi systems in June 2010.

 

Inspired by Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount Pictures live-action theatrical film, directed by Shyamalan, The Last Airbender video game will deliver all-new unique features that bring to life the film’s thrilling action and immerse players in the world of bending.

 

“The Last Airbender video game boasts original gameplay elements that create an experience never previously seen before on the Wii system. The artistic in-game graphics and dynamic combat were designed to fully engage players, while providing an exhilarating and interactive gaming moment,” said THQ’s Kids, Family & Casual Games executive vice president Doug Clemmer.

 

“Through its thrilling storylines and distinctive characters, Avatar: The Last Airbender has built an enthusiastic fan base, and there is incredible anticipation building for the theatrical release. Fans will be able to master their bending skills and relive action-packed scenes from the movie, playing as either Aang, or through the unique perspective of the antagonist, Zuko,” said Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products senior vice president, global toys, video games and consumer electronics Manuel Torres.
