Tom Kring to receive Pioneer Prize at International Digital Emmy Awards

MUMBAI: Tom Kring, the creator and executive producer of Heroes, is set to receive the 2010 Pioneer Prize at the International Digital Emmy Awards, which take place on 12 April, during MIPTV.

 

Heroes’ multiplatform experience Heroes Evolutions, extended the show’s storylines through mobile participation, games and graphic novels. In addition to receiving the Pioneer Prize, Kring will make a keynote address to conference delegates on the opening day of MIPTV.

 

“Tim Kring is a masterful storyteller and the Heroes Evolutions digital experience is the ultimate showcase for successfully integrating technology and content. We look forward to honoring him for his innovative contributions to the field of digital entertainment with our Pioneer Prize,” said International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences president and CEO Bruce Paisner.
