Universal Music Publishing Group ups Lambert to SVP

MUMBAI: Universal Music Publishing Group has promoted Brian Lambert to senior vice president of music for film and television. Lambert was previously vice president of music for film and television.
 
Based at the company’s world-wide headquarters in Los Angeles, Lambert is responsible for creatively marketing and pitching the company’s song catalogue for use in film, television, and advertising. With over 17 years experience in music publishing, Lambert is also involved in the coordination of Universal’s artists and writers for collaborations, soundtracks, and other recording and placement opportunities.
 
Universal Music Publishing Group executive vice president of music for film, television and synchronization worldwide Scott James said, "Having grown up surrounded by the music business, Brian is a true veteran of music publishing.  His knowledge of our vast catalog coupled with his appreciation of the craft of songwriting is one of the many reasons he is one of the most sought out and respected executives in our industry."
 
Prior to joining Universal Music Publishing Group, Lambert spent time in similar roles at Zomba Music Publishing/Jive Records and BMG Music Publishing
