Warner Music UK appoints Chatterjee as commercial innovation director

MUMBAI: Warner Music UK has appointed Raoul Chatterjee to the newly created role of director, commercial innovation, Warner Music UK (WMUK).

Effective from 5 May, Chatterjee will report to WMUK SVP, commercial and operations Alan Young.

Chatterjee’s main responsibility will be to collaborate closely with the Warner Music UK labels along with artists and their management to generate, develop and deliver strong product innovations. He will pioneer new configurations of digital, physical and merchandising formats to find original ways to connect artists with fans and help drive new sources of revenue. As part of this move, Jason Rothery, Mobile Account Manager, WMUK is to become Product Innovation Manager, WMUK reporting to Raoul.

Raoul was most recently Managing Director at Trinity Street Direct, where he oversaw direct-to-consumer propositions for artists such as Oasis, Elbow, Arctic Monkeys and Snow Patrol. Before that, he was Director of Sales & Digital at Ministry Of Sound. Raoul started his career with eight years at Warner Music, rising to the head of Commercial New Media team.
