MUMBAI: A.R Rahman will perform live at the 83rd Academy Awards at Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles on 27 February, 2011. 

Rahman has two nominations for his work in Danny Boyle’s film 127 Hours. He will perform the song If I Rise live along with Florence Welch.

 

This is the second time Rahman is performing at an Oscar awards ceremony. Earlier, Rahman performed at the Oscars in 2009, when he was nominated for Slumdog Millionaire.

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow will also be performing the song Coming Home from the film Country Strong, while Randy Newman will perform his nominated song We Belong Together from the animated film Toy Story 3.
