B4U Music launches on FTA satellite service Freesat

Mumbai: B4U Music is the first Asian channel to launch on the BBC and ITV-backed free-to-air satellite service Freesat.

Reaching almost 98% of households in UK, Freesat has over 80 free digital channels – television, radio, interactive – plus high definition (HD) services from the BBC and ITV.

Freesat, which was launched on 6 May in the UK, has no subscription and no contract. It will allow consumers to get high definition, digital television for a one off payment starting at £49.99, plus a £80 installation fee.

Freesat’s channel line-up will grow each month, with up to 200 channels on air by the end of the year.

B4U Music plays some of the latest tracks from Bollywood and mixes it up with Bhangra and Hindi pop music. The channel also broadcasts phone-in shows, star interviews, Top 10 tracks and sneak previews of the soon-to-be released Bollywood movies.
