Big FM rolls out 45th radio station with Shimla launch

MUMBAI: Big FM has rolled out its 45th radio station in Shimla to become the first private player in Himachal Pradesh.

The station that hit the airwaves today (10 July), has been set at 91.9 FM. Initially, the station will play content for 17 hours a day and will later convert to a 24 hour station post audience evaluation.

The station will begin broadcasting at 6 am with a one-hour programme on devotional music. Content will also include breakfast show Big Chai, mid-morning show Aap ki Khatir, afternoon show Big Ger, evening show Citi Baje Ke and 9 o’clock show Baje Ki Setting.

"The station will also play regional content including Pahadi and Punjabi songs in addition to Bollywood numbers," said Big FM business head North and West Himanshu Shekhar.
