BIG FM Surat celebrates its first anniversary

Mumbai:BIG 92.7 FM, Surat marked its first anniversary today. The Surat station was the last to be launched in the Gujarat cluster after Vadodara and Rajkot.

As part of its anniversary celebrations, BIG FM RJs went around the city involving people in various fun filled games and contests, giving out prizes instantly. A cake was cut and shared with people at various locations in Surat including Sugar and Spice & Coffee Culture restaurants.

The station also organized a ‘9 2 7’ competition wherein listeners possessing passports, driving licenses, PAN cards, licence plates etc with the digits ‘927’ in their numbers, could win prizes by sending an SMS to BIG FM along with a birthday message. Prizes were awarded every hour between 9 am and 7 pm and also a bumper prize was given away after selecting the best birthday message.

The on-air promotions for the anniversary celebration began a week in advance and the celebrations culminated with a Colorful Party attended by BIG FM associates and listeners.

BIG 92.7 FM regional director – west Arjun Singgh Baran said, "We have been entertaining the people of Surat for a year now and are thankful to them for welcoming us with open ears! The response has been terrific, which has worked as a great encouragement for us. All this has resulted in Surat station winning the prestigious RAPA award in such a short span. A survey by Indica Research in March this year has endorsed BIG FM’s growing popularity in Surat. The station also won the best Finance Station award amongst 44 BIG FM stations across India."
