Big FM syndicates with US-based Asian FM

MUMBAI: BIG 92.7 FM has joined hands with US based Asian FM, which serves the South Asian community. As part of the alliance, BIG 92.7 FM will syndicate content to Asian FM, which will be in the form of non-music content. The content will be heard across major cities of the US and will begin airing from 1 September, 2007.


 



As part of the agreement, BIG 92.7 FM will give Asian FM non-music content, which will largely be in Hinglish.


 


The content will be spread across the week covering the pegs of devotional, humor, romance, television, Bollywood, health and of course the Top 30 countdown. With the Asian FM programs are designed to cater to all sections of the community in English and Hindi.


 


BIG 92.7 FM vice president business development Jayyant Bhokare said, “This tie up marks the foray of BIG 92.7 FM in the international arena and we are extremely excited to join hands with one of US’ most unique and popular radio stations – Asian FM. After the phenomenal response received from India, we are all geared to entertain people overseas. Our effort is to entertain the Indian diaspora, giving them the flavor of radio, back home. We are confident that our innovative program offerings centered on the pegs of devotion, humor, love, Bollywood, television etc. will be very well received.”


 


Asian FM vice president Deepak Viswanath added, “When on the lookout for partners in India, we found philosophical synergies with BIG 92.7 FM, leading to a comfortable working relationship between the two companies. As Asian FM expands its audience base, we believe that the Big FM content will fit well within our existing program line up. I am sure that some of our listeners, which have not been to India for a while, will definitely find the content very progressive with cutting edge humour.”
