Big Music forays into Punjabi films

MUMBAI: After launching the music album of Tamil film, Kireedam, Big Music is all set to venture in Punjabi films with the launch Mitti Waajaan Maardi, a joint venture between Adlabs and Punj-aab Movies International, worldwide in August 2007.


This movie has been shot by cinematographer Manmohan Singh, in various locations of Punjab and USA. 


Mitti Waajaan Maardi stars Harbhajan Mann and new face Japji Khaira (Miss World Punjaban 2006) in the lead.  


The film is tells the story of Punjabis who go abroad to earn a living. But circumstances become such that that they are not able to return to their native place.


The album consists of eight songs and includes traditional folk “Jugni,” which has modern music arrangement and grooves. The tracks are crooned by Harbhajan Mann and Tarranum Malik.


Recently Big Music inked a three album deal with Jagjit Singh of Gujarati ghazals.
