Bollywood celebs back Radio Mirchi campaign

MUMBAI: After witnessing the numerous innocent deaths by some unforgiving guns, Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM organized the ‘Delhi Give Up Your Guns’ campaign.


 


On 12 December, to support this public service initiative Bollywood stars like Irfan Khan, Farooq Sheikh, Kunal Kapoor, Imtiaz Ali, Atul Kulkarni and fashion designers Bina Ramani, singer Swanand Kirkire, Congress MP Jiten Prasad, RS Dalal(DG Haryana Police) and Vikas Pahwa(criminal lawyer) joined hands and were heard appealing listeners to be aware and make efforts to avoid such incidents so that Delhi becomes a safe place to live in.


 


The awareness drive went on-air with HI Delhi where RJ Pallavi talked to the listeners and authorities about the issue of these shattering incidents. Listeners were also informed about various precautions like what needs to be done if the gun gets fired by accident? What can be the outcome of arms going in wrong hands? What can happen if things are mal handled?


 


End results of such accidents and much more. As the day moved on, in the show Khoobsurat, RJ Anu reached out to the mothers and wives taking their opinions and giving them a chance to express their feelings that they undergo when incidents like these happen. On Total Filmi, RJ Mandy made an attempt to connect with the minds of the puzzled youngsters and tried making them aware about the whole difference of screen and practical life.
