MUMBAI: Radio Duniya, India‘s only magazine exclusively devoted to radio, organized a two-day conclave. This initiative addressed a range of issues impacting the growth and progress of the burgeoning radio industry through discussions and deliberations, and ended on an exciting note with the announcement of awards recognizing excellence on radio for the year 2007.

The Intercontinental, Grand in New Delhi, on the 11 and 12 February saw a confluence of an illustrious group of people representing a wide spectrum of the radio industry viz. policy makers, broadcasters, advertisers and media professionals.

Amongst the many categories, the most prestigious ‘The Best Signature Track of a Radio Station’ was awarded to Hello FM 106.4. The jury consisting of eminent luminaries assessed the many entries on the basis of originality of idea; execution of the production; reflection of the station’s values and above all, the musical ingenuity of the track.

Receiving the award from Ministry of Information & Broadcasting Government of India, Joint Secretary, Broadcasting Zohra Chatterji, Hello FM 106.4 head of content Ramesh SK observed that, “This only reaffirms the brand’s faith in the pride and power of Tamil ethos as the Signature Track is a soulful expression of the soil, and nobody understands this better than us”. He also added that while he may be taking the award with him, that he truly owed it to the people back home.

Hello FM 106.4 is proud to be the only FM Radio Brand from Tamilnadu to have earned the richest of accolades at a national forum.
