M F Hussain’s son directs video on Taj Mahal

MUMBAI: Owais Hussain, youngest son of painter and filmmaker M F Hussain has directed a music video on the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

Hussain’s video has been filmed on the anthem composed and rendered by A R Rahman. New find models Ferena and Mohsin features in this music video. Santosh Sivan has provided the cinematography. 

Sources say the video has been already shot in Agra around the Taj Mahal.  It will not only be aired on television, but will also be screened in all the theatres in India and  in other parts of the world. It will form a part of the National Anthem at cinema halls.

Confirms Ferena, “We have completed the shooting. I was shortlisted by Owais Hussain from over 70 girls. I feel lucky that I got to portray the role of Mumtaz. We have completed the video shoot at the Taj Mahal.”

The music campaign is spearheaded by IMCL (I Media Corp Ltd) for voting the Taj Mahal to the New Seven Wonders of the World. It is among the 21 finalists,  and the final list will be announced on 7 July 2007.
