MUMBAI: Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM has announced the call for entries for the 6th Mirchi KAAN Awards, which felicitate creative excellence in radio advertising.
The theme for the 6th Mirchi KAAN Awards is in sync with the political scenario of 2009. This year’s Mirchi KAAN Awards will be held against the backdrop of the 2009 Kaan Sabha General Elections with the rallying slogan – ‘Vote against Mediocrity.’
Beginning 1 February, 2009 Radio Mirchi invited agencies to register the best of creative talent for the work aired for the first time from 1 January, 2008 to 31 December, 2008.
Radio Mirchi CEO Prashant Panday said, "Like every year, Mirchi KAAN Awards is a platform for the advertising fraternity to showcase its creativity, reward individual accomplishment, and set new standards against which future advertising will be judged. The various categories in 6th Mirchi Kaan Awards are – food, beverages, toiletries & household care, business products & services, health & cosmetic care, clothing, footwear & accessories, consumer durables, homes, décor & leisure, automotive & accessories, services for the household sector, sports, entertainment, travel & leisure, public service / charity fund raising, media, retail outlets, fast food stores, restaurants and unreleased work.
