Radio Misty partners with Siliguri International Film Festival

Mumbai: Radio Misty 94.3 FM has partnered with the 9th Siliguri International Film Festival. This festival is organized by Siliguri Cine Society in association with the government of West Bengal and Dinbandhu Manch Advisory Committee.

This festival was inaugurated by film maker Gautam Ghosh and film actress Indrani Halder. The festival will be on till 25 November.

Yarwang, a celluloid movie in the local Kokborok language of Tripura, is the prime attraction of this festival. The film of 95-minute duration is slated to be screened on the last day of the seven-day long gala. Other than this, Pakistani movie Ramchand Pakistani directed by Mehreeen Jabbar will also be screened.

Radio Misty CEO Nishant Mittal says, "This is a proud moment for us that we are part of this festival. This festival is yearly event and very popular in this region. Radio Misty radio jocks will give live updates from the venue with exclusive interviews."

The list of total 18 films from 12 countries that will be screened during the include–The Band’s Visit (Dir- Eran Colirin/Israel), Mozhi (Dir-Radhamohan/Tamil), Savior’s Square (Dir-J and K Krause/Poland), Ek Dav Sansaracha (Dir-Sanjay Sarkar/Marathi), False Alarm (Dir- K Evangelakon/Greece), Cleopatra (Dir-J Bressana/Brazil/, Oral Kadal (Dir- Shyamaprasad/Malayalam), Aai Kot Nai (Dir-Manju Borah/Assamese), Stalin’s Disciples (Dir-Navad Leritan/Israel), Casket of Fire (Dir-Neli Tan/ Philippines/), Diep (Dir-JP Villasenor/Netherlands), Wait For Me In Another World (Dir-J Pablo Villasenor/Mexico) and The Life (Dir- DD Phuc/Vietnam/).

Besides these, two Iranian children’s films — Colour of Paradise and Children of Heaven, both directed by Majid Majidi, are part of screening.
