Radio Misty partners with Theatre Festival

MUMBAI: Radio Misty 94.3 FM has partnered with the Siliguri Theatre Festival. The event is being organized by theatre groups of Siliguri in association with the state information and culture department, Siliguri Corporation and Siliguri Mahkuma Parishad. The festival will continue till the 8th. Of January. The weeklong fest will be inaugurated by theatre personality Rudraprasad Sengupta at Dinabandhu Mancha in Siliguri.

"The festival this year is dedicated to former mayor Bikash Ghosh and Amal Chakraborty, a noted actor from Siliguri who passed away recently. It will also mark the birth anniversary of writer Manik Bandyopadhaya," said the urban development minister and the chief patron of the festival, Ashok Bhattacharya.

Theatre lovers will get to see productions by Harimadhav Mukhopadhaya, Ramaprasad Banik, and Gautam Halder along with others. The groups that will take part in the fest are Thoughts Arena, Little Thespian, People’s Little Theatre, Rangpat, Gandhar, Chetna and Barasat Anusilani.

Radio Misty CEO Nishant Mittal said, "This is one annual event of this for which the people eagerly wait all year. We have associated with this theatre festival and it’s a proud moment for us. Radio Misty will air live updates, interviews and others from venue."
