Saregama launches Anita Singhvi’s album Tajalli

MUMBAI: Saregama India launched Anita Singhvi’s new album Tajalli in New Delhi recently. The album was launched by the Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit

Singhvi said, "Tajalli means a Light from Heaven…the light brings the essence of Love and Devotion to one and all. Sufism is the ultimate devotion to one’s own God through self realization. It guides a man to reach God.The motive of this album is to disseminate the message of love and  peace amongst all in this strife ridden world."

Saregama India managing director Apurv Nagpal said, "The spirit of the Sufi is human soul in its simplicity – bare, free and steeped in divine love. Perhaps only music can adequately convey a state of being so simple and yet so profound. We at Saregama are privileged to partner in creation of this ethereal music – with an artiste truly devoted to spreading the message of the Sufi through her gift of music."

The Sufi evening was organized by The Lalit Suri Group chairperson Jyotsna Suri, Saregama India and Art Junction. The event and the album represent an effort towards spreading the message of Sufism through Music and Art. Sufi outlook as presented through the lyrics of various Sufi saints like Arif Khairabadi, Amir Khusrau and poet Allama Iqbal  by Anita Singhvi, came across as a whiff of fresh air.
