T-Series sues Triveni Media for payment default

MUMBAI: Super Cassettes Industries Ltd (T-Series) has filed a criminal complaint against Triveni Media, which runs the television channel Voice of India, for defaulting on payment due to it.

T-Series has taken the company to court as a cheque of Rs 1.39 million (Rs 13,99,320) issued by the company had been dishonoured.

The The Patiala House Court, New Delhi has summoned the accused company and Subramaniam Iyer for the offence on 2 April, 2009.

The said bounced cheque was issued by Triveni Media to Super Cassettes Industries towards part-payment of license fee for use of copyrighted songs of T-Series on its channel Voice Of India.
