Sajid Khan's Housefull starring Akshay & Deepika delayed

CHUMAN DAS

MUMBAI: Sajid Khan is eager to get cracking on his new film, Housefull, which is being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the Nadiadwala Grandson banner. The film will now start its shooting in July as opposed to its earlier schedule of May.

Starring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Deepika Padukone, the film will be a comic caper. Speaking to Businessofcinema.com, Khan said, “I like to make entertaining films and films that have a repeat value. I would love to see people visit the theatre again and again to see my films. So keeping that simple theory in mind, my films will have a feel good factor with comedy as its theme.”

Akshay Kumar has had a golden run at the box office and especially his comedies have scored the best with the audience. However speaking about his last comic caper Chandni Chowk To China drawing a lot of flak from the critics, he said, “I have realized the mistakes that I made in Chandni Chowk to China and I can assure you that they will not be repeated. We are only actors, we can only learn from our mistakes. People forget that film making and acting is an art, and not everybody's opinion can be the same. But with Housefull, I can assure you, it will be good fun.”

Housefull will be Sajid Khan's second film after Heyy Baby.
