For the launch of Bal Ganesh 2 DVDs and VCDs, Shemaroo organized activities owing to the celebration of Children’s Day. The activities included mascot visit, drawing & painting competition, a tatoo maker, a magician and a contest based on questions related to the movie. There was also a live interactive session with children and audiences present, post which the Mascot distributed interesting Bal Ganesh 2 merchandise material.

All these activities were held in Mumbai and Pune at Planet M, Crossword and Landmark spread between 14 and 15 November 2009. Apart from this, these activities were also held at Reliance TimeOut in Bangalore and Gurgaon on 14 November 2009.

To add to these mall and store level activities, Bharti Airtel held, free of cost, public screenings of Bal Ganesh 2 for children in 3 schools in Madhya Pradesh on 14 November 2009. The Rotary Club held a charity show of Bal Ganesh 2 for street kids on 14 November at New excelsior, Mumbai.

Every VCD pack is inclusive of free stickers and an eco activity fun book; while every DVD has free stickers, magnetic stick-on and magic trick pad.

Bal Ganesh 2 DVD also comes along with a bonus content of the - Making of the Film.

The VCD and DVD is economically priced at Rs. 99/- MRP and Rs. 199/- MRP respectively.
