3 Idiots grosses $4.5 million in overseas; prints upped in the US

MUMBAI: History is what 3 Idiots is making at the box office. While records are being broken in India, the movie has also done phenomenal business in the overseas market.
The movie, which is produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and directed by Rajkumar Hirani, has grossed a whopping $4.5 million in the overseas in its opening weekend.
What's more, with the demand for the movie going up, Vinod Chopra along with Reliance BIG Pictures has decided to add 12 more prints in the US market by Friday.
The opening weekend saw the movie grossing $2.14+ million in North America, $1 million in the UAE, $700,000 in the UK, $300,000 in Australia and New Zealand and $310,000 in the rest of the world.
