Well acting runs in their family, Papa Anil Kapoor; Sister Sonam Kapoor and now Harshvardhan Kapoor, is set to make his acting debut.
The shooting of Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirza Sahibaan that marks the debut of Harshvardhan begins from September 01, 2014. The film is a love tragedy based on folklore, which has been given a contemporary touch. Harshvardhan will be seen as Mirza in the film.
Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, who worked with Sonam Kapoor in Delhi 6 and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, is all set to launch Harshvardhan in his dream project Mirza Sahibaan.
Apparently Harshvardhan, has cut himself completely off from his Mumbai elitist lifestyle to immerse himself in his character.
“Harshvardhan has been staying in Delhi preparing for his debut getting into the skin of his character. He speaks only in the language of his character. He refuses to party, socialize, or even attend family weddings and get-togethers as he feels this would break his concentration.” informed a source close to the project.
The news now is that Harshvardhan’s character would have to go into two different time spans, one during the classic era when the original love tale unfolds and the other in 2015. Harshvardhan is trying his best to create a completely different body language and speech pattern for both his characters.
Says the source, “Harsh seems more like a chip off Naseeruddin Shah’s school of acting. Ever since he got to know there would be two different looks and attitude for his character, Harshvardhan has been living out his life in different time zones. He refuses to participate in any of the family events. He lives in a rented place in Delhi where he spends his time going through Gulzar Saab’s dialogues and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy’s music.”
Harshvardhan returned from America after studying screenplay writing and acting. Earlier, he worked as assistant director to Anurag Kashyap on his upcoming film Bombay Velvet that stars Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.
