Yes, folks. It sure seems like Bollywood superstars Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan are playing some sort of musical chairs. After news broke of Aamir Khan possibly replacing the light-eyed younger actor in Karan Johar’s Shuddhi, comes the news of Hrithik returning the favour, by replacing Aamir in a sci-fi drama film.
A while ago, it was reported that Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan had opted out of Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani-led Excel Entertainment’s time-travel based film. The cause for the parting, according to sources, was differences on the actor’s remuneration, and certain commercially causes.
But all will be sorted, because it has been learnt that Hrithik Roshan has graciously agreed to do the film, opposite leading lady Deepika Padukone.
The script of the film reportedly deals with time-travel, and we wonder if the makers were “inspired” by Hollywood super hit The Time Traveler’s Wife.
A source revealed that being a Bollywood film, this production will have a strong romantic track, which spans across timelines.
“When the script went to Hrithik, he was impressed and promptly agreed to come on board. It’s a film which will be made on a lavish scale and is expected to go on floors in February 2015 by which time she should be done with Karan Johar’s Shuddhi,” said the source.
This will be the first time Hrithik will be seen romancing the lovely Deepika, and Heaven knows their on-screen chemistry will surely set the screens ablaze.
Interestingly, Deepika was on-board when Aamir was in talks for the project, and will remain the film’s female lead, despite the male lead shuffle.
