Kai Po Che is all set to open the 13th River To River Florence Indian Film Festival in Florence, Italy. This festival starts on November 22, 2013 and would have a closing ceremony on November 28, 2013.

Director Abhishek Kapoor will be present for the film’s Italian premiere. Kai Po Che had its world premiere at the 63rd Berlin International Film Festival and was released in India on February 22, 2013.

The film, based on Chetan Bhagat’s bestseller The 3 Mistakes of My Life, narrates the story of three friends who share a dream, but a sudden earthquake and the outburst of deep religious and political conflicts between Hindus and Muslims, disrupt the course of their lives. The film tracks their friendship, innocence tarnished by religious politics and communal hatred, which results in their fallout, and an eventual death.

Chetan Bhagat had announced a short contest on Twitter to create the awareness about the film and its title.

Kai Po Che is set in Ahmedabad and the three friends in question were played by Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh and Raj Kumar Yadav and it not only got Abhishek Kapoor commercial success but also critical acclaim.
