MUMBAI: Trust our Bollywood stars to up the hotness quotient of any and every event they deign to attend. For this is just what happened at the glamorous curtain raiser of the CCL (that’s Celebrity Cricket League, for the uninitiated).
The CCL party was a starry affair, considering the quantity and quality of A-listers packed under one roof. It couldn’t have gotten bigger and better, for the ‘Tiger’ of Bollywood Salman Khan graced the event with his masculine presence. There was a palpable air of excitement when Salman Khan walked in: in a navy blue suit with a contrasting blue shirt, the mighty tiger’s was comfortably the loudest roar on the red carpet.
His ex-girlfriend and still “good-friend” Katrina Kaif too put in an appearance, clad in a floor length ethereal white gown. And Bipasha Basu, that Bollywood Bong bombshell who’s been roped in as the brand ambassador for this edition of the CCL, chose to make a grand entry in a short green sequined strapless number, with her sky-high heels for company.
‘Inkaar’ star and sexy siren Chitrangada Singh wowed us in white, while Sridevi Boney Kapoor aka the Comeback Queen of 2012 made an appearance, and was accompanied by her husband, Boney Kapoor and their two lovely daughters. Fashion forward Kangna Ranaut looked like she was picked off the runways of Paris, in her uber stylish black trenchcoat-dress and black leather gloves. Her makeup was very 1960’s Hollywood diva; a look we give the lady a double thumbs up for!
Also present at the event were Genelia Deshmukh and Sannath Jayasuriya. The star-studded curtain raiser for CCL, which is currently in its third edition, will see a glittering opening ceremony in Kochi on 9th February, 2013. And the inaugural match will be a fierce battle between Kerala Strikers and Mumbai Heroes at Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium.
