Pizza was served in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and will soon be served in Hindi too. We are talking about UTV Motion Pictures and Getaway Films Pizza which is all set to scare us soon.
The film has created the right buzz, and is expected to horrify people successfully. But that’s not what we want to say here. After four different languages, Pizza is all set to be remade in Bengali.
The film has already begun shooting. Directed by Birsa Dasgupta, the lead roles are played by Soham and Mimi. But neither UTV nor Bejoy Nambiar’s Getaway Films is associated with the Bengali remake. It is produced by Venkatesh Films. They bought the rights of the film and are making their own version.
As per Akshay Akkineni, the director of Pizza, Bejoy bought the rights of Pizza at Rs 1.5 crore which is the complete budget of the Tamil film.
Though we don’t know what is the budget of the Bengali film, with Venkatesh Films as the producer, the production values will be equivalent to the Hindi version if not more. Hopefully, the film will be as scary as the original.
