MUMBAI: As ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ gears up for release, the film’s promotions seem to be on in full swing. This is Ranbir Kapoor’s second film with Ayan Mukherjee who earlier directed ‘Wake up Sid’. The film also stars Ranbir Kapoor’s ex-flame Deepika Padukone and is slated for release on 31 May.
While promoting ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ on a TV show, when Ranbir Kapoor was questioned on not being a part of Zoya Akhtar’s next film, he said that the film has not been offered to him. He said that it is mere speculation that if stars and friends meet together to hangout, it is not always about discussing a new script.
Ranbir Kapoor currently has three films on his plate post ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’, which include ‘Besharam’, ‘Bombay Velvet’ directed by Anurag Kashyap and Imtiaz Ali’s next.
Zoya Akhtar’s next film is a story based on siblings and she apparently has been keen to cast Ranbir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor as the main leads.
