MUMBAI: Bollywood is turning intellectual, and how! A bevy of B’town celebrities turned up for a book launch recently in Mumbai, and leading the charge was none other than Salman Khan.

Bollywood hunk Salman Khan showed up at St. Andrew’s Auditorium in Bandra, to launch a Hindi book titled ‘Mahatma Gandhi and Cinema’. The cool Khan dude revealed his intellectual and bookworm side to the assembled media. He looked ever so casual in his signature Being Human t-shirt and a pair of distressed denims.

Along with Salman, the Khan family too was in attendance. Father Salim Khan, mother Salma and Helen aunty too showed up at this prestigious event.

Other B’town stars included veteran actress Kirron Kher, directors Subhash Ghai and Mahesh Bhatt. The Kapoor family was represented by Karisma and Kareena’s father Randhir Kapoor and sister, Reema Jain.

We must say that it is quite surprising to see Bollywood so heavily involved in the world of literature. It is now common knowledge that Salman is a very talented painter, but we are now wondering if he has a flair for writing as well.

The Dabbang Khan is always full of surprises, and who knows, he might just pull a rabbit out of the proverbial hat, and reveal his literary side to us soon!
