MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan says that his film ‘Talaash’ is more realistic than Akshay Kumar’s upcoming ‘Khiladi 786’.

The actor recently held a press conference post the release of ‘Talaash’ at his residence here in Mumbai. He interacted with the assembled media persons and fielded their umpteen questions. Seen in a navy blue tee and olive green military pants, the superstar was the cynosure of all eyes as he spoke about all things near and dear to him about the film, and the journey of its making.

Boxing ‘Talaash’ into the niche cinema category Aamir said, “Talaash is more realistic and sensitive than a masala film like ‘Singham’ or ‘Khiladi 786’.”

Aamir says he did not want to reveal the suspense part of the film before the release. ‘Talaash’ a supernatural thriller is the story of how  a flirty and flamboyant prostitute Rosy (Kareena Kapoor), helps Inspector Shekhawat (Khan) navigate her world and solve a case allotted to him.

“Talaash is not a universal film. It is quite niche…’Talaash’ is not a very accessible film,” added Khan.

Is ‘Talaash’ inspired from M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘The Sixth Sense’?

Agrees Aamir, “It is similar. See, I couldn’t tell you it was a supernatural film, right? We wanted the same reaction for Talaash. I cannot place all my cards in front of you before the film releases.”

Aamir was all smiles as he cracked a couple of jokes as well, and was deep in though at other points in time during the press conference. The “thinking Khan”, as he is known, was his usual pensive self at sporadic intervals during the interviews.
