The ‘Zanjeer’ remake has taken a long time to come to the screen, but finally the first song is out. The leads Ram Charan and Priyanka Chopra dress as cops in the song called ‘Mumbai Ke Hero’, which is supposed to be a tribute to Mumbai’s cops.

Earlier this year, Priyanka Chopra appeared in the item number ‘Babli Badmaash’ from the film ‘Shootout At Wadala’. The number, a seventies homage, was the talk of town because it was the first item number Priyanka Chopra danced to.

It didn’t take long for her to appear in a second item number. ‘Mumbai Ke Hero’ is a electro-pop/rap number and though it concentrates more on the debutant hero Ram Charan, Priyanka Chopra is surely the one gathering the eyeballs for this cop-themed video.

While Ram Charan’s character, with vocals by Mika,  sings that “main jaaguh toh sheher sota”, Priyanka Chopra gets lyrics filled with innuendo. “Hey cop in the khaki uniform… Oh my God, is that your gun? Can I hold it please?” She is dressed in a cop attire just like Ram Charan, but her rap section seems to suggest more of a fantasy than a tribute to Mumbai’s cops.

Priyanka Chopra has come a long way with this song. While she had checked the lyrics of ‘Babli Badmaash’ just to see that there were no suggestive lyrics in that song, we wonder what happened now!
