MUMBAI: Hrithik Roshan owes a lot to his papa Rakesh Roshan. He debuted in ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’, and his biggest hits have been under his father’s direction. So Rakesh Roshan’s birthday couldn’t have been a better time for the son to show his appreciation. And Hrithik Roshan did so, and how!
The ‘Krrish 3’ actor threw a grand party for his dad who celebrated his birthday on 6 September. Obviously, Bollywood’s who’s-who turned up for the event.
Rakesh Roshan’s old friends from the industry – Rishi Kapoor, Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha, Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Sridevi, Anil Kapoor and Prem Chopra – were present at the event. Also spotted were Juhi Chawla and Shilpa Shetty.
Among the newer brigade, Vivek Oberoi (who plays the villain in ‘Krrish 3’), Zayed Khan (who is Hrithik Roshan’s brother-in-law), Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar were present at the birthday bash.
Of course, inconspicuous by their absence was Shah Rukh Khan’s family, which is understandable as Shah Rukh is currently shooting in Dubai for Farah Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’.
Hopefully, after the successful brain surgery and this birthday bash, even ‘Krrish 3’ will prove to be a happy moment for the Roshan family.
