TRAILER: Urban Boy Falls In Love With Village Belle In ‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya’

Prabhu Deva’s next ‘Ramaiya Vasta Vaiya’ is a sweet love story of a city boy who falls in love with a village girl.

MUMBAI: Tips Industries Limited released the trailer of their upcoming film ‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya ’. Directed by Prabhu Deva, the movie is a remake of his directorial debut ‘Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana’ (2005), which was a Telugu blockbuster hit film.

The film introduces producer Kumar Taurani’s son Girish Kumar, opposite Shruti Haasan, showcasing a sweet village-based love story.

The trailer begins with a dialogue from Ram (Girish Kumar) explaining what happens when one falls in love. After living abroad all his life, Ram visits Punjab for a wedding where he meets Sona (Shruti Haasan) and begins flirting with the girl and falls head over heels in love with her. Ram is a charmer and Sona is a sweet, innocent girl who just wants to stay out of trouble.

The plot surrounds the story of a boy who falls in love with a Punjabi village girl. And to win her hand in marriage, he has to prove himself worthy enough by winning a challenge placed by the girl’s brother, played by Sonu Sood.

Sachin- Jigar’s music is catchy, upbeat and romantic.

The film also has a sizzling item number with Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez and the director Prabhu Deva himself. The duo will be seen grooving in the fields for this village number.

‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya ’ produced by Kumar Taurani and directed by Prabhhu Deva, features Girish Kumar, Shruti Haasan, Randhir Kapoor, Sonu Sood, Vinod Khanna, Poonam Dhillon, Satish Shah, Govind Namdeo, Zakir Hussain, Nassar, Anchal Singh, Pankhuri Awasthi in pivotal roles. The film is scheduled to hit the screens on July 19, 2013.
