Salman Khan’s Blackbuck Poaching Case: Court Hearing To Resume On July 20

Salman-Khan-SheraSalman Khan’s trail under illegal possession and use of arms in the court of chief judicial magistrate will take off on July 20 in the presence of the actor at the court.

Salman Khan was suppose to re-examine the witnesses from his side in the court yesterday but his counsel H M Saraswat gave an application seeking reschedule of the trial granted by the High Court until the petition was decided.

Now the hearing will take place in Jodhpur court by Chief Judicial Magistrate on July 20 subject to decision of the petition in the High Court where the matter has been listed for July 8.

According to the reports, the progress of the report will be on halt until the court decides the criminal miscellaneous petition.

Salman Khan was given a chance to present his evidences of his innocence on May 4. However, the trail could not start because of the revision of the petition before the session court, which was rejected on May 14. Another reason is the pending criminal miscellaneous petition before the high court.

Fresh charges in the poaching case were framed against him in March 2012. Then, in November 2013, the Rajasthan High Court ordered that Salman Khan‘s poaching conviction be suspended for visa purposes.

The actor has been accused of hunting and killing the endangered deer while shooting his film Hum Saath Saath Hain in Rajasthan in 1998. His co-stars, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam, have been charged with inciting the actor to hunt.
