Bollywood’s new star kid Athiya Shetty, who made her debut in Salman Khan’s production film ‘Hero‘ with Sooraj Pancholi, finally reacted on the speculations that she would be part of director Karan Johar‘s remake of ‘Ram Lakhan’.
Recently during a lunch event, Athiya who teamed with Sooraj for the event was asked about being a part of Karan Johar’s film. To which she reacted unexpectedly. The actress gave a weird expression on the same and chose to stay mum. Instead, the actress preferred to talk about celebrity fitness trainer Yasmin Karachiwala‘s book. She said, “I love Yasmin’s book.”
‘Ram Lakhan’ was released in 1989 and was produced and directed by Subhash Ghai which had an ensemble cast including Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Madhuri Dixit, Dimple Kapadia and Raakhee. Now director Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar have teamed up for the remake of the film.
There have been many speculations on who will play the lead actress role in the film. Few days back actors Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra denied rumours of being a part of the film. The rumour thickens as news suggests Athiya Shetty has been approached for the film. But now with Athiya’s reaction, only time will tell if the actress actually bagged the role or not.
Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty starrer film ‘Hero’ was much awaited by the audience due to its healthy promotional activities and Salman Khan’s presence. However, the film did not seem to reflect the same in its box office collections. The film was an average hit and had got mixed reactions for the same.
