Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, who had ups and downs in his career, had badly failed at the Box Office with his last film Bombay Velvet. The film had extremely affected the actor and his career. Even his last films ‘Besharam’ (2013) and ‘Roy’ (2015) didn’t work out well for him.
Directed by Anurag Kashyap, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma’s Bombay Velvet was criticized all over on the social networking sites. The film didn’t do well as it was expected at the Box Office. Well, failure is part of profession and that it is never final.
During the recent launch event of Mumbai City FC kit 2015, Ranbir Kapoor was asked about his flop film Bombay Velvet. When asked about blaming the whole team of Bombay Velvet or himself for the flop, the actor replied saying, “I think the actor is given credits when the film is hit as I was also praised when my films were hit and now when it is a flop, the criticism should be taken by me because it was my choice to do the film. I worked on the film; people trusted on me and went to theatres to watch the film. It’s about the whole team work. When a producer, actor, director, music director work together as a team, the film is hit,” he added.
Well, smart and gutsy enough to answer once again on Bombay Velvet, but this time indirectly hinting to blame the makers of the film for the flop?
On the work front, Ranbir will share the screen space with ex flame Deepika Padukone in their upcoming film Tamasha after their blockbuster-hit film Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani. After impressing everyone with their last film together, the two are again set to sizzle for Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha.
While the actor has another big film of the year, ‘Jagga Jasoos’ with beau Katrina Kaif. The film tells the story of a teenage detective in search of his missing father. The beautiful couple Ranbir and Katrina will be seen in funky and unique look in the film.
Ranbir Kapoor also has Aey Dil Mushkil with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma. Speculations are also that the actor will be seen in Sanjay Dutt’s biopic, but yet there is no confirmation regarding this one project.
