Ameesha Patel who took the nation by storm with her debut film Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai in the year 2000, turns a year older today, June 09, 2014.
Ameesha Patel immediately followed it up with another blockbuster, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha in the year 2001, but then post that, things did not quite fall in place.
In 1999, Ameesha Patel met filmmaker Vikram Bhatt on the set of their first movie together, Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage (2002) each other.
During this time Ameesha ran through a financial crisis after her parents used all her hard-earned money for their personal satisfaction causing misunderstandings between Ameesha and her parents.
In July 2004, Ameesha Patel sent a legal notice to her father for mismanaging her accounts and assets amounting to Rs 120 million and demanding the money back.
In January 2008, Ameesha Patel and Vikram Bhatt broke their five-year relationship. Post this, Ameesha did a couple of films like Heyy Babyy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic and Parama Veera Chakra; most of them tanked at the Box Office.
In 2011, she founded her own production company Ameesha Patel Productions, along with her business partner Kuunal Goomer. Though she has a couple of films in her kitty success has always eluded her. Ameesha’s upcoming films include Do Lucky, Desi Magic, Power and Contract.
Recently Ameesha Patel was featured on the cover page of international magazine Maxim.
In an interview to the magazine the actress said, “Only people who are extremely s**y get featured in Maxim. So I am very lucky that this is my third appearance in the magazine and people consider me s**y and want to see me more. It is very flattering because over the years, I have changed, and I’m glad people still find me very hot”.
