CNBC partners IIFA for Global Business Forum


MUMBAI: Business news channel CNBC-TV 18 has partnered with the FICCI – IIFA, Global Business Forum – Yorkshire to concentrate on promoting bilateral trade between India and the UK.


The FICCI – IIFA Global Business Forum will focus on aspects like strengthening Indo UK energy cooperation and building synergies between the UK and India in the areas of environment and sustainable development. Apart from these, the forum will also focus on India’s capabilities in the ICT sector with a special focus on potential of ICT market in the UK.


Aspects like Entertainment: Forging Business Partnerships, positioning India as the manufacturing and agro business hub for UK, Healthcare, Pharma and Biotechnology are some of the topics that will be discussed at the forum.


This forum will highlight international business and networking through a panel discussion on building partnership between India and the UK. The panel will comprise personalities including Great Eastern Energy Corporation chairman YK Modi, Yes Bank managing director Rana Kapoor, JCB director Philip Bouverat, British economist Lord Meghnad Desai, and others. The sessions will be moderated by CNBC -TV 18’s Delhi bureau chief and associated editor, political affairs Shereen Bhan.


The forum will be telecast on CNBC TV 18 on 23 and 30 June 2007, with repeat telecasts the next day.
