Salman Khan’s Jai Ho Set To Roar Into Theatres

Jai Ho poster 02As can be easily anticipated, Salman Khan’s Jai Ho will most certainly be a path-breaking film, both in terms of content and in terms of response at the Box Office.

The superstar is attempting to deliver a social message, with his brother Sohail Khan’s film, and considering box office king Salman has had no release in 2013, this new year offering is sure to be lapped up by eager fans.

Directed by Sohail Khan and produced by Sohail Khan and Eros International, Jai Ho is adapted from the Telugu super hit Stalin, which was a blockbuster success. With the current political scenario, a film like this will be welcomed with open arms, both by the masses and the classes.

We spoke to a few top officials at multiplexes and single screens, to get a sense of what they expect the hype and buzz to Jai Ho to be, in the opening weekend.

Said an official at a leading single screen in Bangalore: “The response, as one can imagine, is extremely good. Advance bookings began on Wednesday, and though no show have been sold out completely as yet, we expect the scenario to change by tomorrow afternoon. We are running five shows because we anticipate huge demand for the Salman Khan starrer.”

Agreed Mr. Girish Wankhede, Marketing Head, PVR Pictures: “The response will be definitely higher in single screens. Advance expectancy is certainly very bright for this film. The numbers for advance as of today stand at a promising point.”

Way before its release Salman Khan has set a new record with his 2014 project Jai Ho. In what is now the highest price of acquisition, we have exclusively learnt that ‘Jai Ho’ has been bought by Eros International at a whopping Rs 1.1 billion (Rs 110 crore) for India theatrical and entire overseas distribution.

Apparently, the decision makers at Eros International barely saw an hour of this flick, and took this historic call.

All in all, there is no doubt that Salman Khan has a real winner on his hands, this time. Jai Ho roars into silver screens tomorrow, 24 January, 2014.
