Bewakoofiyaan has opened to poor collections all over but morning India with the morning figures of day one ridiculously low.
Yash Raj Films‘s newest offering Bewakoofiyaan starring Rishi Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana and Sonam Kapoor has opened to dull houses despite being a solo release on March 14, 2014.
The occupancy in the morning and noon shows was a meager 15 percent to 20 percent across major screens, on an average. The poor opening of Bewakoofiyaan could be because of its weak script or because of the fact that the pre-Holi period is generally considered dull by the film industry. Also, the ongoing examination period and the relatively low buzz surrounding Bewakoofiyaan has kept a major chunk of the cine-going youngsters away from the film.
However, the poor morning shows are no indicator these days, since films like Hansee Toh Phasee, Highway and the very latest Queen, but gathered momentum later. But still Bewakoofiyan has an advantage and has a possibility of doing well at the Box Office since there is holiday on Monday, March 17, 2014 across the country.
Meanwhile, Queen is continuing its dream run at the Box Office as it is going rock steady. The women oriented film, which showed day-wise improvement in its earning, has finished its first week theatrical run on a very good note. The collection of the film showed upward trend especially during weekdays. Queen has had a terrific word of mouth and that’s one of the reasons that the film has shown an upward trend.
Kangana Ranaut and Rajkumar Rao starrer Queen has managed to collect approximately Rs 181 million (18.10 crore) nett till now, though official reports are yet to come in.
Next week, March 21, 2014 will see the release of Ragini MMS 2 starring Sunny Leone, Parvin Dabas, Sandhya Mridul and Divya Dutta as well as Gang of Ghosts that stars Sharman Joshi, Parambrata Chatterjee, Mahi Gill, Anupam Kher and Meera Chopra.
Till then lets see how will Bewakoofiyan fare at the Box Office.
